2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C)
And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become wine,
... the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him,
“Everyone serves good wine first,
... but you have kept the good wine until now.”
Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs at Cana in Galilee
and so revealed his glory,
and his disciples began to believe in him."
In providing the miraclulous wine for the wedding, Jesus reveals himself as the bridegroom. He reveals his purpose for everything he does, to draw us into relationship with himself.
All the earth shall bow down before you, O God, and shall sing to your name, O Most High.
